OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous

OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous
Color: Graphite Grey
Formula: Super Runny!!! This polish was actually so hard to work with :(
Coverage: 2 Coats for full opacity
Collection: 2010 "Swiss Collection"
Price & Where I got It: $8 at Ulta

The formula of this was a total turn off for me! I relly like the color, but polishes with bad formulas are the ones I hardly reach for :(

Quo By Orly - Night Sky

Quo By Orly - Night Sky
Color: Deep purple/blue with a bit of gold and silver refection
Formula: Easy to work with, spreads evenly and dries quickly!
Coverage: 2 Coats for full opacity
Collection: I got this with the Quo by Orly Holiday Set
Price & Where I got It: I actually swapped for this, as these polishes are only available in Canada!

I really think they hit the nail on the head with the name of this one! It totally reminds me of a Night Sky. Since the brand is owned by Orly, I'm SURE there's an Orly dupe out there for us Americans that can't get the set from Canada! :)

Essie - Play Date

Essie Play Date
Color: Creamy Pastel Purple. Doesn't this just remind you of Easter?
Formula: SUPER creamy and easy to work with!
Coverage: Pretty opaque with one coat, I wore two just to be safe!
Collection: "Go Overboard"
Price & Where I got It: $8 at CVS! :)

This polish lasted me about 5 days with no chipping!! Pretty good, seeing as I didn't wear a base or top coat! I highly recommend this polish. If you like it, the collection is still available at some stores so try to go get your hands on it!!

Julep - Taylor

I decided to paint my nails with my new Julep polish, Taylor. I painted this on my nails and after I applied Seche Vite
, the color looked super dark compared to the bottle... I'm not quite sure why.
Anyway, Taylor is a dark sky blue color. I needed three coats for full opacity, which is kinda of a bummer :/ I'd be upset if I spent $14 on this polish and need it be so sheer! But luckily I got one of Julep Maven's boxes for only a penny. I do like how it looks on my nails, though.

Quo by Orly - Filthy Rich

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago I painted my nails because I was going out to lunch with my family to celebrate my grandparents 45th wedding anniversary! I decided to use one of my new Quo by Orly polishes (only available in Canada). The color I opted for is called Filthy Rich. Filthy Rich is a really pretty gold foil polish. I think this is actually the first foil polish I own! I really love the effect this polish has :) The formula was really nice! It took 2 coats to be opaque, and it dried REALLY quickly! I didn't even need a fast dry topcoat. This polish is so pretty in the sunlight! Sadly, it's been super rainy and overcast here the past few days so I wasn't able to capture its true beauty under direct sunlight :'(
Orly Dupe (for those who live in the US and like the color) Orly's "Luxe"

OPI - I Eat Mainely Lobster

Hey everyone! Yesterday I was itching to try out my new OPI polish I had received in a swap, called "I Eat Mainely Lobster" Isn't that just the cutest name ever? I swear, whoever names some of these polishes are the most clever people ever. Anyway, this polish was part of the Fall 2011 Touring America collection OPI released. I absolutely adore the color, it's the perfect shade of coral! But there were also a lot of things I didn't like about the polish. For starters, it was pretty sheer. 3 coats and I still feel like I can see my nail bed. The polish has a gorgeous gold shimmer in the bottle but that really doesn't transfer onto the nails :/ and the one thing I really do not like is the finish. I'm not sure if it was my top coat, but it just kept drying part matte and part jelly! :( It's a bummer since this is such a beautiful color. *sigh* I guess I'll just learn to work with it since I do adore this shade of coral. What do you think of this polish?
